not sure if the monty uses the same stereo setup as the X but if it does the wires on the radio do not run directly to the speakers. They are low level balanced pairs that run to the passengers side rear quarter pannel to an amplifier.

so how can get sound out of my aftermarket cd player....if it has a factory amp going truw the speacker wires???

check to be certain that you have the aux amp in the quarter pannel first as Im not 100% positive you have one. If you do you will need unplug the amp. Then run speaker wires from your cd player and splice into the original speaker wires. Or just run new wires to all 4 doors.

ok there is a wire that you connect to the harness that goes tio the amp that is probably not spliced or pluged in. for my 96 i bought the wirring harness with the headunit and the adapter one of the plugs worked and the other did not so i threw out the speaker plug and cut and spliced 9 wires i think one of them may have been to the amp. it helps if you said what readio you had if the mounty and Ford readios are farily the same. I used a 97 wirring diagram off of a post onm here.

-I will see iuf i can find it

my factory radio is a cassette player dolby b nr it has a gray long plug and a little square plug....were will the amp be so i can look and see if i have one????

remove the interior panel surrounding rear passenger side glass. under it is the subwoofer box.The amp(s) mount right on the sub box. If you see 2 amps on there then you have the aux amp. Mine only had the smaller sized sub amp. Also the head unit had a heat sink on the back.

ok so what do i do with the factory amp....how i get sound out of my factory amp??? do i have to run all new wires for my speackers???? if soo ill just put my system in there 2 12's subs with 1000 watts amp and a 300 watts amp for my highs sounds bad ass i had it in my old 96 x

the stock system probably will not be what you expect it to be anyway
You can modify the stock sub box to accept a 10" sub, and hide amps where the stock ones were. That will give a clean look and take up zero space.
get some 6x9 two ways for rear doors, 6" comps for front
I bought used scratched amps( they are hidden but sound fine)
Spent 365 bux for my whole system
clarion 325 hu
clarion 6.5" comp front
clarion 6x9 two ways rear door
polk 10 momo
sony 444x midbass amp
mtx 2200 sub amp
I and my wife think the sound is just great
If you have an ear for sound, and an understanding of installation, then an aftermarket- rewire is your least hassle remedy
Also I might add, you should not have any trouble selling the stock stuff, it is in demand so that will help recoup your costs

i already have a complete system sitting my garage door speacker and all

Well then I know what I would do
Seriously, the stock system is just good enough to tease you.
Granted, for it's time it was a good stock system, but you have to feel music a little also, and the highs just aren't there

yeah i am just going to run my own wires and put my bad ass system in there
