does anyone know of tuners for the v6 4.0 in the uk, looking for cams,head porting to be done, i cant find any on searches, closest was essex v6 tuners but only listed 3.0s, i dont think its a common thing to be done to a 4.0. cheers

i have shaved my head. sent the cats to the rspca.and i am exhasted after a 12hour night shift. but my explorer still isnt any faster. have you any more suggestions please?

Put it on a tow truck

There is a supercharger kit specially for 4.0 sohc. You can get them from USA, cost about £3500 but they don't recommend them if you engine has done more than 80,000 miles. Alot of money and I'd love one.

supercharging a high mileage engine wouldn't other me a bit.. oh, and i don't consider it high mileage until it's over 250,000 miles. 80k is nothing.

thanks for the ideas, im going to be booking a full diagnostic session at torque of the devil in iver to see if they can further squeeze any performance out of it. hopefully this saturday..
