I know that manufacturers like KC and Hella make the vinyl or plastic covers for off road lights. I was wondering if anyone here had tried to make some for their lights.

First I would need some kind of material that is waterproof.

What kind of material do they use for the waterproof seat covers? Is that neoprene?

Anyway, just toying with the idea of trying to make some instead of buying them...It probably wouldn't be too hard to make something work, but I want it to look good if I do make it.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks guys.

Very nice. I think I have seen the explorer one on here before...what material are did you make them from? and how did you secure them to the light?

they are made from marine vinyl and are snug fit just like the KC covers are made

Are they a pain in the butt to make? I have 2 - 6" round day lighters on my bumper and 4 - 4"x6" fogs on a light bar on my roof. Did you have a template for cutting out the light covers, or did you just fit them up with the lights as you made them?

Check out the 2 threads in my sig, its what I do:D

Very nice. I may have to order some if I screw up the ones I am attempting :D
