Anyone put a BII tire carrier on a first gen?

For our Ex'es, my opinion is that it would be better to mount the spare tire carrier directly to the frame/bumper, rather than connecting it to the body in some way, BII-style. Jefe's setup is good. I suggest you look at it, and avoid hooking the carrier to the body...especially if you plan to carry a larger tire.

The person I was going to get the carrier from was going to steal it. Sooooo needless to say deals off!! I also had a nice long talk to him about those kinds of activities. He's young and I hope I made a good impression. But you never now. :(

nice... did you have any idea before or have you found out just now? let's hope the guy will listen otherwise... beware - he might be back for something else.

Dre,
None until he I'med me and told me I could just come and pick it up. It was supposedly a friend of his and I hadn't even taked to the guy. So a flag went up and I started asking questions. He started side stepping me and I just told him flat out I dont buy stolen goods. Period. I've had friends that were theves and thats the reason I dont hang out with them anymore. Even if you dont get caught, its still wrong. Just sucks. But I have more than enough right now to keep me busy with my truck.

Guy,
Thanks for the support.
