as stated thats my tire setup and my buds are telling me that i need to size down to a 260/75/r15 winter setup, what are your guys thoughts, i hear the mt's are good in fluffy snow but anything compacted and ill be spinning like a mad man.

Most of the BFG compounds are a little on the hard side and thats kind of what makes them, in my opinion, a little hard to control in really packed snow or ice. But just go slower and you'll be fine, plenty of people run BFG Muds and they do just fine. I'd say it depends more on the driver probably.

i was more concerned with the width as opposed to the block pattern, but thanks for the input im a mild driver on the street, if i smash up my rig i want it to be on a tree or rock, and not on a honda,
