Hey everyone ... Hoping somebody here might be running some 31 x 10.50 x 15 tires at stock ride height so I can get a comparison. I bought my x from a mom and pop shop and had these tires on it but whom ever had it before cranked the torsion to max in order to clear the tires cuz the bumper is bent, just picked up another bumper and now I need to let the front down a little and raise the ass end some cuz it just looks ridiculous. So if someone could just give me a ground to fender measurement it would be greatly appreciated. I know that every one rides a little different but I just want some sort of base line cuz I have a weekend full of work planned on the truck and do not care to have my new axels trashed by a wacked out angle on the control arms ( which is probably what happened in the first place) thanks in advance, Tom

if you dont get any info on that height, you can try to bring your torsion bars down and go by the angle of the lower control arms. the torsion bars are at factory height when the lower arms are at 180 degrees. here's a picture of mine right before i did my twist;

after 3" twist"

you can see that after the twist the arms are at a steeper angle.

Good to know... Thanks for the response

no tt on this one, with 31x1.05's,,

all that i had to do was cut a small triangle off the back corner of the bumper so it wouldn't rub it at full lock,,

31's stock height here.... little inner plastic fender rub on driver side when turning fill lock to the left, other than that no issues.

So guys what is the height of your fender ( bottom lip) from the ground? I just want a guide line to work from.

I think im sitting around 35" from ground to bottom of fender but i will double check and post back once i go out in the garage to work on my 98.

33 1/4" on all 4 corners.

Thanks 82 that's exactly what I needed

Not a problem, here to help when i can.

I am also thinking of running 31's with no TT. I did have to do an AAL to get mine to sit level so maybe it sits a little higher in the front than some. Do the 31's have a better chance of not rubbing if they are on the factory 7 inch wide wheels? I was looking at doing a wheel/tire package on my 97 and the wheels I want to run are 15x8 with a -19mm offset 3.66 backspacing, I can also get them in a 15x7 -6mm offset, 3.70 backspacing. What do you guys think would have the least chance of rubbing between all 3?
