I can attest to it. I don't presently run it as I just had a new motor put in my X (completely unrelated to the oil, I assure you).
The RP IMHO works great, especially for the price. I found out about RP about 4 years ago when I had a 3.0 Ranger. I dropped in RP and it definitely made the motor feel like it was able to spin more freely. Engine revs came much quicker and it seemed to have a little more "Pep".
I can't compare to the other oils, but if you are looking to buy it, I suggest going to http://www.rpmoil.com/ , you can buy quantity through them for a very good price, much better than I can pick it up locally for. And they often have free shipping. (I usually buy it a case or 2 at a time).
