I was just looking around on Fakebook Marketplace and found this cream puff. I have no affiliation with the seller. I just thought this one is quite the time capsule for a 1st gen Navajo. Plus, it has a manual transmission.

That thing is really clean man I would love that thing!

Having the 5-speed manual transmission just makes it that much better, IMO. It is so nice I would have a hard time driving it in anything but perfect weather. I really like the fabric they used in this one..

That would be a collector's item eventually with the low miles.

The pop up sunroof ruins it for me. And, for $19.5 you think they could have put not the absolute crappiest tires available on it.

At least there not off brand

They might as well be. Those tires are just compressed garbage.
It probably doesn't matter what tires they put on it. So far it has seen is around 425 miles per year on average. The tires will dry rot long before they wear out.

True enough there. But man I loved my 91 in snow never let me down cause I could always make it shift to make it move.

Yes, but if they don’t care enough not to put garbage tires on it, I bet everything done to it, including oil and general upkeep has been garbage.

It looks to be in excellent condition and well taken care of for a very long time. I also took note of his garage and it looks like it is very well maintained and he has two other vehicles in what looks to be mint condition in it. I wouldn't extrapolate too much from what brand of tires he prefers. Were Goodyear Wranglers an OEM tire on Explorers in 1992? I know they were initially released in the late 1970s so maybe he wanted to use what came on it from the factory?

Should have been the recalled ATXs I believe.

the original ATXs were recalled but iirc then they put wranglers on, i just forget which wranglers. if they did the recall work wonder if those were fitted? at the jy i see lots of those wranglers on Xs however

I believe you got a credit for tires. The dealers might have preferred you put unbelievably cheap tires on them. We certainly didn’t get the Wranglers as a recall replacement.

Eh idk my ex of that gen still had the goodyear spare so I think maybe thats the only amount of credit you got. That or off brand.

They seem to be coming outta the woodwork lately.

Another creampuff

My spare is a Wrangler tire but isn’t that specific wrangler tire. Those were like $70 when purchased, most likely. It’s possible the credit was enough to only buy those. We certainly didn’t get them. I won’t run garbage tires under any circumstance.
