if so, where did ya get them. i want a bright back up light (3157 bulb). i don't care if the actual bulb is blue or something like that, as long as it puts out a brighter back up light than the stock bulbs. thanks.

I bought a pair of 50w reverse lights at Pep Boys and I relly cant tell much difference from the stock lights. I am going to try some "hyperwhite" bulbs and see what kind of results I get.

was the bulb color blue? i saw a pair of them there and they said bright white but i passed cuz they were a no name and looked kinda cheap.

I have superwhite (blue) reverse bulbs (3157) and I can promise you that the light is sweet, but you can see crap compared to regular lights. Stay with the regular stuff.

ok, well, i am just looking for a brighter back up light, it doesn't have to be super white, or hyper white, is there any out there that are just alot brighter than stock that i can buy?

No, they are clear, like stock only brighter...supposedly:rolleyes: I dont remember the brand name, but Im not all that happy with them. I still think I may try "hyperwhite" bulbs and see if there is a difference there.

just a regular 3156 clear bulb? heck, i can get that anywhere. i'll try it.

Your stock reverse bulb IS a 3156. It's a single filament bulb instead of a 2-filament bulb (3157). Have you considered getting a pair of reverse fogs and mount them at the bottom of the bumper??

my stock's where a different lower wattage bulb..the new ones(# i put up) are differnt then what i had..much brighter

i thought the reverse bulbs were 3157? i don't think i want any reverse fogs, just looking for a brighter light.

Stock backup bulbs are 3156. There is a replacement bulb available which is halogen, rather than regular style. I have them and swear by them.

Try Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc.

This could've been a poll, but as it wasnt, these are what ran througn my head. :)

A) I have some Veritas backups... :p

B) I have a monkey that jumps out with a flashlight :monkey:

C) Who backs up anymore? :burnout:

D) Screw anything behind me... my bumper sticker says "Park behind this vehicle at your own risk".

E) I use the 3156 as well. :p

i Like "B" but "D" is cool too

i had a different stock bulb before i went to 3156 my stocker's where lower wattage..

I have some 'xenon' back-up lights I got on eBay a year back. They're blue but shine white with a hint of blue. Real bright.
