Are all the door handles chrome? No color matched door handles?

I tried a "search" and was not successful in finding an answer.

Has color matched door handles never been an option on any of the XLT's, Sport, or limited over the last 3 years?
I couldn't be the only one who thinks the Explorer would look better with color matched door handles, particularly, in white?

I don't think it has...you'd have to look at modifying them after market

Paint would not really last long on a much used handle, however you could take them off and have them powder coated most any color you want.

I have the tri coat platinum white and I think the chrome handles are perfect.
BTW, in the 2011 brochure I have, the base model had BLACK door handles but that has apparently been changed and all models now have chrome.

Hmmm... This site (cars.com) says,

"XLT models add body-colored door handles, painted black mirrors and 18-inch alloy wheels"

4 paragraphs down under "Exterior"...
