Ok i've got this clicking sound going on when I drive coming from the front end.
I notice it more on the passenger side.
it really noticable when I drive next to a concrete divider and the sound echos back off the divider.

how would i check to see whats making the noise and how would I repair it. I think i'd have to replace the whole hub as I think my hub and wheel bearings are sealed unrepairable.
so what should i do to check them..
also any idea what else might be making the noise.
thanks

I have just had that problem diagnosed. The mechanic told me it was the upper ball joint and he tested it by using a long pry bar. He push the bar between the mounting point and pull down on it the bar to check for motion. there was motion and I bought both arms (left and right) from Ford for $95 and $97 each. I have not done the installion yet.

I thought it was the sway bars at first and I have tried lubricating everything to no avail.

I hope my lower are fine becuase I just found a job order that says they were done last year even tough they look very rusty at the moment.

did your make that clicking noise like it had a rock stuck in the tread

what kinda noise did it make

Mine is more like squeaky rubbery noise with a mix of metal grind, clunk. I usually I only hear it while I am driving close to a wall or the highway concrete divider.

Clicking from the front wheels can also be a sign that at CV shaft is on the way out. Just something else you might want to check.
