Are the exhaust manifold cracks only on PIU'S ?

I've only read about exhaust manifold cracks on police utility vehicles. I have the 3.5 ecoboost and didn't know why the PIU would have different exhaust manifolds. I was wondering if anyone knows if the 3.5 ecoboost civilian models in susceptible to this problem?

I have a ton of heat leaving the side of the car and I'm pretty sure my exhaust manifold is leaking. The 3.7 and 3.5 have the same block size, just a bigger bore for the 3.7 and the Interceptors have a true dual exhaust. Not sure if they did the same for the newer 3.5s

The 3.5 TT in the Sport and PIU (rare option) have the same exhaust manifolds. When I was upgrading my turbos I found both the front and rear manifolds had multiple cracks in them. I could only find Dorman brand or factory replacements. I don't care for Dorman so I went with factory.
