Powerdyne SC, Gibson cat back...TMH soon

Then into the shop for a tune..30# or 42# injectors, remove FMU and upgrade in-tank fuel pump.

At what point should I worry about something breaking.....Will the 4r70W hold up? Transfer case?

I read on this forum that the transmission will give in at 350hp. I dont know if this correct, i read it awhile ago off the forum, when i was thinking of supercharging my mounty.

Correct me if im wrong guys.

The reps a TCI and ArtCarr both told me if the heat is kept under control, and with the right torque converter and shift kit, should handle 600

well, they break at stock hp eventually.

my understanding is it will live for a bit under over 500hp, but obviously won't last as long as it would at 400, 300, or the stock 160 or whatever they make at the wheels.

lol then what i read on the forum awhile back was waaaaay wrong lol. my bad.

Correcto. The stock 4R70W heats up real quick which becomes its enemy and kills it in stock form.

Install a shift kit and extra inline tranny cooler and tune and you will be able to run much more power through it. The TC is something I would address right after this is taken care of. Once those above mods are done that will be your second weakest link.

I didn't see a built SB in your list so you aren't probably planning on much more than 6-9 psi boost. Your tranny will be fine with the stuff mentioned above.

If you want to get a race prepped one later on they cost about $2700 and will withstand more than you could throw at it. 800+ rwhp depending on manufacturer.
