dump a quart of atf into your truck befroe an oil change... dont drive it around, jsut let it idle for a few minutes... then do the oil change as usual.....

Search for BOBISTHEOILGUY and read about AutoRx or search for AutoRx or Bilistein Oil Flush.

ATF belongs in the tranny, not the engine; I would never put it in a motor of mine.

The use of high quality oil is all you need.

ATF is loaded with detergents. It's long been a backyard-mechanic tool for clearing accumulated carbon out of combustion chambers. You just poured it right down the throat of the carburetor while holding the throttle to keep the engine from dying.

Makes a massive cloud of white smoke. Whether it actually does any good, I've never seen a teardown study to see. Nothing but anecdotes out there.

As with SeaFoam, water, etc., the only danger I'm aware of is pouring too much in at once and hydro-locking the engine. That is fixed by yanking the spark plugs and turning the engine over. Watch the wires for sparks near the plug holes.
