Rich, I live in Evanston, you can ride with me. You may have to ride back seat because my GF is coming, then again, she may let you ride shotgun. I haven't heard from T-Bone so I don't know if he is going. Just let me know your location and I'll pick you up.

I am going with a Stock '94 XLT. I went last time stock too. I would at least think about driving down and then decide whether or not you want to drive on the trail.

Hey rich...if you decide not to drive down there...but want to ride...there are going to be a few people with a spare front seat....just so you know....have you put any more thought to running your rig there? i'll put you on the list for passenger only, untill you say other wise...cool? does that mean that you want to stay in a hotel too?

rooms and food

I don't know much about Danville but in Lafayette there was plenty of Denny's type restaurants even like next to each other. I bet there are some in Danville as well. I'm booking a room with Dave so if any of you guys want to jump on a wagon let me know. I'm gonna be there Friday evening so I might want to go to the park early Saturday. I might just drive around the park for a little warm up. What would you guys say if we meet at the park instead of that gas station?????
PS Kampy, I got the "real" tow hooks now. $27.50 each but looks like well worth it.

well...i tell ya what....rather me reserving for everybody....maybe we should just all go to the same hotel, but do it for ourselves....it might be a little easier that way....but we could still use this place to organize whos staying with who....

I am getting antsy again just thinking about the run...Andre, I'm with you on going in the morning for a warm up. I think that the quarry qould be a nice warm up. This time I think that I am going to leave the tire aired up and see if that helps me clear the hill at the pseudo entrance to the green trail a little better and then air them down after that. I am thinking that that may give me a little more clearance for the top of that hill. I don't remember there being anything real bad after that. If I leave the dog home, I may want to ride with one of you non-stockers after lunch to do some of the harder stuff.

MOTELS

I did reserve the room at Ramada. Cheapest of them all. $59.00 a night. I tried with and without my club discount. Same price - scum! (steeling $59.00 from me for yearly dues).
Riff the number is 217-446-2400 for that motel (if I got it right) check it again. Everybody, call them as they have rooms available. I'm staying with Dave, got reservations for two nights. Riff, you're stayaing with us one night, right? Anybody else? Room for one more person, opppssss! Riff, you're bringing friend with? that would do for our room then.

Post your reservations here. Anybody heard from T-Bone or Cameron?
I'll probably e-mail T-Bone from home.

Ramada

OK, I reserved a room at the Ramada for my gf and I. They tried to jack me for 7 more dollars. I said, "Isn't it $59 and she says, oh yes I'll change it". What, did she think I just stepped off the boat? I got it at the $59 dollar rate.

As for T-Bone, I emailed him and he hasn't gotten back both times and he usually emails me the same day. If he doesn't get his skid plates by the october, he probably won't come. Maybe as a passenger.

Rich-BigDave is right, you should at least drive down and try it out. Like riffman said, if you decide not to run the trails there will be plenty of rigs with open seats.

That sounds like a good idea. I think I will drive down and if it gets a little hairy I'm sure someone will let me jump in their rig. Unless someone still has room for one more. Hey are we going to drive down their together. It would be pretty cool seeing a sea of Explorers rumbling down the highway at the same time (move over civics).

While it would be great if we could all drive down together, I am not going to drive into Chicago to drive back down to Attica, (although my mother would probably like to see me for the first time in two months). hehe. Also, I am glad to hear that you decided to take your rig down. I think that you will be surprised as to just how capable it will be off road, I know that I was surprised with what I could do stock.

Sorry if you guys misunderstood me. I didn't mean to meet at my house. I know everyone lives a distance from here. I was just saying to meet at a place that is on the way there. Like a place on a main road a couple miles from there. It would be pretty cool.

Dave - I failed to mention that my rig is only 2WD ( a single tear falls from my eye). So that is why I wasn't sure and still am not sure. I would probably get stuck at the entrance of the place. I would have a better chance if I had a locker or lim. slip.

Riff - If your passanger doesn't want to go I'll go with you, I would just need to get directions to your house. There is no point for you picking me up when you are doing me a favor.

Where in Chicago are you? I am probably 15 minutes from you and you would be on the way to attica. I didn't realize your truck was 2wd. I suggest you leave it at home, I've tried the 2wd off roading thing and it doesn't work. Like I said, your welcome to ride with me.
