For those of you looking for a front traction aid for our hybrid diffs, we are trying to get Torsen to offer their front l/s unit. It has already been developed and raced in the BITD trucks. It is just a matter of showing Torsen that there is a demand to offer it to the public. This would be especially beneficial to those of you with A4WD. Please add your name to the post below.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find a front limited slip very useful. When offroad, my front tires come off the ground constantly because they can't travel enough. With this limited slip, if a tire comes up, it will spin wildly like an open one would. Now of course I could understand a L/S for the rear.....because it travels well.

Since we do not have unlockable hubs and always have power sent to the front drivetrain, how would this unit perform on side hills? Especially steep ones covered in slick mud or snow?

Being pulled down a hill and off a cliff would really suck...

A Torsen is not a typical limited slip. You can read about them at www.torsen.com . Also, if you read our thread, some of your questions have been answered. If you can't find the info you are looking for, ask on our thread, as Rick Barnes from Torsen is one of our members. He was one of the lead engineers on the FX4 program and can offer you a better and more in-depth explaination than I can about performance.

ide be intersted. what is the price idea?

Ok I read the thread at your site, but.....my question wasn't completely answered.

If one wheel comes off the ground with this unit installed, will it get all the power?
