Have a look at the "list of useful threads", i posted a manual for swapping the HU at the 2006 XP when I swapped the HU of my 2006 Eddie V8. Was listed there by admin.

Sorry Wharriso, had to sell the Eddie because my business ( slotmachines ) became bad with the non-smoker-law over here in 2007 ( - 40 % turnover ). Was fighting for bare survival, so the truck had to go. Was a little hard to me, but won´t be the last - there enough available when things will get better again

Sorry to hear about your business but I'm sure it will get better. Let's face it, to most of us these truck are just toys and not very important. Look on the bright side, the increased gas prices are dropping the value of SUV's so you next one will probably cost half what you last paid. Good luck!

A CD error message shows "no cddj", when I run test......WHAT IS THIS?

Anyone know the exact specs of the 06 sub? I've been able to gather that it's 8" and you should get a shallow one. But is it single or dual voice coil? And 2, 4, or 8ohms?

I think it's only single voice coil since the connector from the back of the radio only has one line out going to the amp... but not sure what the amp is doing just yet.

My 6cd w/sub just stopped reading discs (since we recently just hit 100 for several days) but will read from time to time. The radio is fine, ejects/loads discs fine... very disappointed. Thinking there must be a reset/default settings/reboot sorta thing... or if the batter disconnect trick might work... probably a bigger issue thou..
