Aussie locker

Does anybody know if the cross pin in a stock dana 35,is strong enough for the aussie?I seen somewhere on here that the 8.8 pin wasn't strong enough.Also seen that some people had problems with aussie set-up.Whats up with that?

I have an aussie in my front diff, it's been used well in the last 2 years. No problems yet.

..It seems if it is not set up per specs, people have problems...If you do a search for Aussie on here, you will see this has been discussed several times...

All sounds good,but you guys with aussie lockers,did you use the factory cross pin or an aftermarket one?

I had to use an aftermarket pin because I am running 456 gears. almost 4 years 3 trips to CO one to ARK, and countless weekend wheelin trips-- no problems yet.
