if i got the man hubs off a bronco 2(any year) would they work on my 91 explorer. secondly what is the conversion kit that you have to buy when you switch to manual hubs and what does it change? to me it seems like if the bronco 2 and my explorer have the same dana 35 ttb axle what do you actually need to change besides the hubs for them to work?
ps. sorry if this is covered in here somewhere i tried looking

you need the 2 spindle nuts and clockwasher that goes inside the hub on the spindle.

The BII hubs will work on a 1st gen Explorer. As Snoborder said, you will need the locknuts and washers (this is what they call the installation kit) to install them. However, if you pull ALL the components off the BII including the locknuts, washers, etc..you should be able to do it without buying the install kit.
