auto trans help

i blew the trans in my 99 sport with the sohc motor and the 5r55e trans, i got a 5r55e from a junk yard and it was out of a 97 every time i get the trans locked up against the motor i can't spin the crank, but if i loosen the bell housing bolts i can spin the crank with a ratchet is there a diff spacer plate for the flex plate or am i wasting my time time with this trans. i need to figure this out fast cause i am missing work cause of it

bolt up the two side bell housing bolts first, then bolt the torque converter up and then finish the rest of the bell housing bolts. what your doing is just binding up the tranny
