Automatic hub rebuild/replacement

I am new to the site having a hard time finding what I am looking for with the search. Is there a thread here the can walk me through a rebuild or just removal and cleaning of my auto hubs and maybe a thread that can walk me through replacing them with manual hubs. Pics would be awesome as well.

you can borrow from some Auto Stores. Ask for early 1/2 ton Chevy spindle nut socket.

The thread Anime posted has pretty much all the info you need..

In short, grab a couple Spicer 28068X kits (one per side @ $10 or so each set) and then find a pair of used dana 35 manual hubs and you can be converted for < $150 total.

I was paying < $100 a set for used manual hubs (29071) from the junk yard.
