I've searched the forums and haven't quite found the answer to my problem.
I have a 1998 EB Explorer with the Auto, 4H, 4L dash switch. The car switches into 4H and 4L (I can hear it shift, and the shift light comes on), but the front wheels don't spin.
I was stuck and tried to get it into 4L and I got the 6 flashes and the ABS light came on. After turning off the car and back on, it's back to normal. I've seen different threads with these same issues, but it seems to be back to normal, except for the fact that the front wheels aren't spinning. I'm not getting the flashing lights anymore.
I'm not very handy, so I probably won't be doing the work itself (plus, we have about 3 feet of snow in the driveway), so I'm looking at possible problems and an idea of how much it would be cost to fix it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
