awd swap

i have a 97 explorer awd and i was wondering if any body has taken out the awd system and put in a 4 wheel drive high low system
i would love to get this thing on the beach or on the trails
but with awd i am not having much success!!!!

i beleive section did that exact thing. As ar as i know though it's just an x-fer case swap.
