Can anyone tell me if an Explorer 8.8 Axle housing can be fixed, one tube is bent slightly. I am willing to put a little cash and time into it, as it was free (just the bare housing).

I figure that it may be able to be shrunk back in line, as the tube is only arched. Or get the one side re-tubed. Any thoughts or sugestions?

thanks

The only way to fix it is to have it re-tubed. If you go this route, make sure the place dooing the work uses a jig to set up the new tube. If not there is only a .001% chance they can replace the tube and get it in perfect.
