going to be putting new gears in and rebuilding the lsd and wan to know are there any after market better axles that i can order to replace the factory ones. i want to rebuild it and be done for a while .

I can't remember if there was anything for the explorer 8.8 BUT I know you can do a c-clip eliminator IF you convert to Disc brakes. That way, if you break a shaft you can change it without opening the diff.

Actually the ultimate 88 kit with a little grinding and 4 extra nuts if you have drum brakes. Just no e brake when your are done.
