First of all I am female and know nothing about cars! I have a 1997 B2300 Mazda pickup and when I drive it it starts to jerk back and forth like you know how a car jerks when it is not in the right gear.

I will release the gas pedal and it calms down and then I can drive again but then I can be going 50mph and it will start jerking again. It is not in the clutch or the gears it has something to do with the gas.

This is what I have done: A new fuel pump, checked relay switch, a new ecu box, a new head, cleaned the fuel lines, new clutch, new filter, filter regulator, a new muffler, a new catalytic converter and the list goes on. I can't find out what the problem is and neither can the mechanics! I've got so much money tied up in this freaking truck it has to be fixed but I can and the mechanics can't figure out what is the problem!

I love this little truck and drove it forever and then had to get a used transmission put in it and then the new transmission died on me and I bought a new truck but still kept this little truck. It sat for a few years without me driving it and this is when I put a new fuel pump in and had the transmission overhauled and put the clutch in. I have done nearly everything to it including putting a used head on it which I don't even think it needed and the truck still does this mess! I thought it was a short or something because one day I drove through some water and it started acting up again and I had that fixed - put in new converter - I have done everything you can do this freaking truck and still can't get it to stop jerking.

It has got to be something very minor because I have done everything major!!!! Does anyone know anything about this problem and what it might be????????

Sorry for the language but I am really upset with this truck and the mechanics because I could have bought a new truck for what I have spent on this one!

Thanks,

Disengage your ABS

Does the truck idle smooth when just sitting and running?
Do you have a check engine light?
Sounds like you have a dead miss in one or more of your cylinders
