Posted this on another site a while back but just got around to taking pics of my updates. It was all built with scrap more or less, some thins could be better but it's working out good so far.
Got tired of my broken armrest, so I did the 60/40 mod and built a new console. Still got some finish work to do but she's gettin there. Best part is its all scrap wood and material minus one box of screws. The speaker is out Of an old bazooka tube that had a burnt out amp. Gotta order some more fabric for the lid and finish the aluminum trim, then figure out how to secure it. It doesn't go all the way to the dash bc my CB radio will mount under the ashtray when it's fully installed. All feedback/ ideas appreciated

Been busy lately and haven't been online much, but I ended up reworking the console a good bit an I think it turned out a lot nicer. Closed in the front portion and built a swivel mount for my radio, and ditched the fabric for bedliner.
May add some cupholder inserts later, but haven't noticed any negative effects as of yet.
Need a better solution for the armrest; this fabric was cheap and isn't holding up well.
The floor of the upper level lifts out, and there's storage under it. The bottom and back areas aren't separated, so I can store larger/ longer items if needed.
Got this 12v/usb charger for $12 at walmart, it's on my new switch switch panel
Also got a new headunit a while back, and made a switch panel out of lexan to replace the ashtray. There's a bussman fuse block behind it for my accessories and relays. The far left is a spdt on-off-on for my aux reverse/work lights, next is spst for fogs, 12v/usb power outlet, and amp remote. So far it's working out well and gives me a place to mount things without drilling holes everywhere.
