Welcome to the forum, JMarie! I'd suggest having your dealership inspect this. After they've had the chance to check things over, they'll recommend next steps. How many miles are on your Explorer?

Did you by any chance expose that discoloured area to anything magnetic?
Nothing stuck on the lens of the camera?
I also assume it is there when the camera is on?
Whatever it is, the warranty should cover any required repairs.
