I've reviewed a bunch of similar threads here, but haven't come across a specific solution. My wife's 2015 Explorer XLT screen started acting up yesterday. Sync 2 system. Won't bring up the climate screen and most other touches brings it to the navigation screen. Won't go to radio either. Touch is working because I can get it to react to different points on the navigation screen. Can't get to the system screen to do a master reset, so I disconnected the battery for a bit, which did bring it to the "system maintenance" screen on startup, but still has the same issue. I have Forscan and figured I'd try a master reset that way, but I'm not seeing which module and setting to use to reset it. Any ideas?

It's possible the APIM might be the problem. The Accessory Protocol Interface Module is the 'brains' of the MFT system.

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm thinking. Tried a couple other things, but still messed up. I took this as the Explorer God telling me that it was time to upgrade to Sync 3. Found a complete kit on sale on Aliexpress for $200, so I jumped on it. Always concerned about "deals" from China, but I used Paypal's 4 payment method, so they'll be able to stop and recover any payments before they're complete if it turns out to be a scam. Been lucky with Aliexpress so far.
