During the Uwharrie run this weekend, the coolant needle on my gauge cluster went WAY down below C and stays there and every so often it pops back up and works sporadically.
Has this happened to anyone?

Thanks for the response. Have you tried to replace the sender unit?

Not replaced yet; its under warranty and have had no time toi take it in,

Hmm I might consider that, but I read that it only costs about 4 bucks. If that's true, I may as well replace it.

Should be very easy job" I am just ;azy and thats what warrantys are for.

Ok I replaced the temp sender. No good! Still doesn't work. How do I test the wire going to it?

Just curious, how do you know its not the thermostat?

temp sensor

hey man, i dont know if this might help you out but here goes......i have a 92xlt and hat the same prob....you might have to replace the actual sensor to the cpu, and not the sensor to the gauge, i did that and everything is all good, the sensor costed 22 bucks.....look in the it, on the 4.0 6 they are right next to each other.......rob

I know it's not the thermostat because it completely bottoms out the gauge.

I thought about the other sensor, but arent they completely independent of each other?
