..Hello all. My name is John, hopefully y'all can help. Here's my story. About 3 months ago my explorer wouldn't start. The antitheft was stuck, but my original mechanic said I had a bad fuel pump even though it was barely 1 1/2 years old. So I let him change it and used a loaner to get to work. Well it wasn't that, it did the same thing again the next time I drove it and he thought it was a faulty new fuel pump. He changed ignition switch, and finally said he couldn't fix it and the antitheft was stuck shutting down everything. So I take it to the dealer, they say it needs a new computer, so fianally I get it out and it seems fine. I noticed a slight vibration though when in drive and stopped when idling. Well after my fuel was about out I went to fuel and I pumped gas all over the floor. The idiot first mechanic didn't hook the fuel lines back up the 2nd time he changed the fuel pump. So I hook them back up, butthe vibration has been getting worse. I changed the engine mounts and tranny mount and spark plug wires myself and got a p0455 evap emission control system leak (large) code. So I go back under the car a couple days ago and sure enough there was another line on top of the tank as i felt around that wasn't hooked up either. So basically i've been driving without that hose hooked up for about 3 months. I believe it goes to the evap emissions canister. The vibration is getting worse but really is only noticable when in drive stopped at idle. Any thoughts on what damage I might of done to what by driving it like that for so long that would cause the bad vibration throughout the car??
