Ball joints

I bought new upper control arms and lower ball joints because mine were shot. Now i was told that i just need to put these new ones in and it is fine. My question is arent i suppose to grease these somehow or whats the deal?

When I bought mine for my d44 they were already greased. Did you get the ones with the zerk fittings?

what are zerk fittings? The ones that i have already have the boot on them with a ring type deal on them.
