basic question regarding brake pad / rotors and jack point

just have a basic question regarding brakes.... on my 2001 sport trac, is it okay to put the jack stand at the standard jack point which elevates the front lower control arm when changing out the front brake pads and rotors or should there not be any pressure on this at all?

oz- The forward facing LCA lift "hooks" are all I use when supporting the front end. Seem much more secure than the #1 body mount brackets under the firewall. Please be careful and use the parking brake, block the rear wheels, and NEVER use hollow tile cinder blocks. They have been known to support a heavy load, then suddenly explode without warning. GL
