bass speaker

Hi guys, I drive a 1997 Explorer Eddie Bauer, and have 135000 km on it. I have encountered many problems with the explorer and don't want to get rid of it, so today, my bass speaker stopped working, any idea how i can fix it?

Welcome!

It's most likely one of 2 things: either the amp to the subwoofer crapped out, or the speaker itself did. Probably the speaker.

I would take out the speaker and while the stereo is on, test to see if there is voltage going to the speaker from the amp. If there is, then it's just the speaker. You can just get a 6.5" replacement subwoofer.
