Baxter State Park Meet

I would prefer a shower too.. It helps me wake up. LOL Bring the tub! Dan should be chiming in soon with some info on some near by camp grounds with showers.

I would rather have a shower everyday myself but I was thinking of bringing this big plastic tub that we could heat up some water & use as a basin. OOB has cabins & stuff all with amenities for a decent price if we wanna look into that as well. Not the Paradise place but the original link to OOB itself.

I havent met him yet in person. I dont know. It might smell like fried chicken and sweat. or pizza. Dont know! LOL :D

Dunno. Has anyone had to deal with his funk besides himself??:(

Personally I'd like a shower a day, but if I'm not sweating then I can go a day or two.. That being said there maybe camp grounds out of part which have shower facilities...

a shower a day is a total waste of water...

Right, so 600 miles round trip PLUS if you decide to go to one of the listed campgrounds that's an extra 80 miles round trip to the campground and trails each day.

so, say 800 miles for the whole trip.

800 miles / 14 mpg = 57 Gallons of gas

57 Gallons X $2.30 per gallon = $131 in gas for the trip.

Not bad.

Maybe I can ask my friend's parents how much they would charge us to use their cottage on the lake in New Hampshire. It can bunk bout 8 (a sleeper sofa, 2 twin beds & 2 queen beds). It has a bathroom, kitchen, tv & lake rights. That's another possiblity. I can also see if they can check their neighbors in the co-op if they'd be willing to rent theirs as well.
This is another possible idea.............

Sounds like a good idea at first. Then again, what your saving in lodging your actually loosing on fuel it will take to go back and forth between the cottages you mentioned and Baxter State Park.

I think you missed the boat on that. I meant instead of Baxter we can do the cottages in NH.

Iam down for that. Once you can get further info from your friends, We can make a new thread for it. lake winnipesaukee has some things to do, after chating with you through im. It might turn out better for the group. Keep us informed.
