I wanna get my windows tinted all around, I want it dark enough where you can't really see inside atall unless you press ur face against the window! How dark is that % wise?? Is it legal? and does anyone know how much it will cost me? my only concern is people wont be able to see me flip them off after they cut me off or something, haha jk of course!
In Arizona, the darkest tint you can get on the front windows is 35%. The rest of windows can be tinted with any %.

"Before and after adding 20% tint to the front and small windows. Shall I go darker? "

20% dear hehehe

cost me 100 bucks for pro install

here it is legal....your back windows are 20% so you know those are legal, as for the front you need to check your laws. I wanted mine darker too but I've came to the conclusion (with everyones input) that its dark enough and if I go darker it will be difficult to see when parking or turning. And since I enjoy the dent free body of my X I will stay w/ what I've got.

Anybody know what % the factory ones are? im gonna get 15 or 20 next week, professional done for 75-100.. but just curious as to the % of the factory ones.

I would guess around 35%

kind of a dumb question, but if i wana put 10 or 15 % on the front, to match the front, what % would i need for the back?

Alpha, I think he wants to know what tint to put over exsisting tint on the back so it will look like 10-15%, so it will match the 10 - 15% he intends to put on the front... my answer is to just ask the guy who is doing it, im sure he'll know best.

But if i were to guess, i would guess a very light tint, prob like 45-50%.

actually, youre screwed, heh, sorry to rain on your parade :( you have a 96, so you have the "privacy glass" on the rear, so if you tint it, it will just look like a mirror, with a kind of 'goldish' tint to it, and your front windows wont match. theres nothing you can do; kinda sucks.

wait is this "privicy glass" only in the hatch area or on the back doors too (on a 4 door)??

um, im not entirely sure about 4 doors, but if i had to guess, its probably on all the windows except the front doors and the windshield (obviously.) when i had my 91 sport, it was on the rear windshield and the 2 windows over the truck area, the back seat windows and the front windows didnt have it.

That's why I don't put any window tint on it. I know there is no way that I'll get the tint to match the rear ones. If my truck has black tint, I'd put it on right away. It looks a lot better with all the side windows tinted, IMO.

I have a 1995 sport, so i can't tint all my windows the same or what?

Do you have privacy glass on it?, if yes then prob not exactly the same, Me, i didnt give a crap, i wanted tint!

I dont think mine looks that bad... look at my Mug link in me sig

Here is a good shot of the "privacy glass" on my '95:

As you can see, the factory tint is mirror-ish, which is very annoying when you're trying to match the front windows with the back. That's why I've heald off tinting my front windows, because I want to tint them all at the same time to get somewhat of a match. (The tinting place quoted me $175 for all windows tinted)

The place I went to had atleast 20 different kinds of tints, inlcuding a semi-shiny-mirrorish style. Go to a prof. place that tints windows and see what they can offer you. I am sure you are not the only one w/ this sort of scenerio and I'm sure these places have made many customers happy w/ what they could do.
