Attaboy.. I had faith in ya! Everything go smoothly? Where did you end up getting your bumper brackets? Glad to see you got it all worked out! Don't you love the cheap new height?

now all you gotta do is get rid of them daggum'd mono leafs and you'll have something! ;)

HOKIE this thing was a **** to put on steering extension was no where close so I made my own. my bumper brackets are like no others I have pics of the front bumper brackets if U want to see them? also instead of drilling and access hole to let the spare tire down I turned the the assembly so I now let the spare down from the right side rear wheel well. All in all took me 10 hours.

Why does yours look so much better than Hokies?? :p

Paste those bracket pics in here too! :D

the extension I got in the kit was completely solid on top like they forgot to drill it. Heres the front bumper brackets What I did was take another set of ome bumper brackets trimmed them and welded them to the original and reenforced them from behind

One end fits inside the steering shaft and the other end fits over the steering shaft...

the steering extension in the kit wouldnt fit no way no how . I could of pulled the bottom up to meet the top but that wouldnt of been safe. So I customized me a sleeve to fit over both shafts and welded them into the sleeve. Also on the rear bumper I took the stock bumper mounts on the frame turned them over and switched them side to side and welded to square pieces of metal to the bottum of the bracket. they mount in the stock position to the frame. Perfect 2 in bumper lift and still strong enough to take a hit. If people want to know exactly what it looks like I'll take the bumper off and post pics.

nice job. looks good:cool:

i didnt think u needed a steering extension with only a 2". You probably could have just left it connected the way it was.

But if that was the case you might as well have gone with the 3". but o well. Still looks nice:D

What kind of tires do you plan on running in the future?

Oh yeah... I disconnected the shaft and then reconnected it. I remembered working under there and having no problems, I didn't use the steering extension.

DOH! Don't let Hokie post when he's studying for ECE exams
