in my last couple of cars to disable the belt minder you had to turn key on and off a few times...
This new explorer is key less??? how to you cycle from on to off to disable belt minder???

another question. if the temp in the car is set at 90 or high all u have to do is hit the max ac button and the temp drops to 60 instantly...
is there a way to go from 60 to 90 in one touch of a button??
sucks sitting there holding the temp + button for 5 minutes waiting for it to go up.... is there a faster way? :salute:

From the owners manual:
The driver and front passenger Belt-Minder features can be deactivated or activated by performing the following procedure:
Before following the procedure, make sure that: • The parking brake is set
• The transmission selector lever is in position P • The ignition is off
• The driver and front passenger safety belts are unbuckled 1. Turn the ignition on. DO NOT START THE ENGINE.
2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off (Approximately one minute).
3. Wait 10 seconds after the safety belt warning light turns off.
• Step 4 must be completed within 20 seconds after the completion of Step 3.
4. For the seating position being disabled buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times at a moderate speed, ending in the unbuckled state.
• After Step 4, the safety belt warning light will be turned on for three seconds.
5. Within approximately seven seconds of the light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt.
• This will disable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it is currently enabled.
• This will enable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it is currently disabled.

that all makes sense until u try this without a keyed ignition... i tried this with the push button start and it did not work.

Worked perfect for me when I did it. Why would it matter with or without a keyed ignition? Make sure your foot is off the brake pedal when you push the start button so the vehicle does not start.

There is no Max Heat button. Not sure why you have to keep pressing the temp + button. All you have to do is just set the temperature to what you want.
I seldom have to adjust the temperature controls. My Climate is set on Auto and everything looks after itself.

Exactly. Set it to Auto and be done with it year round. I may go up or down a degree or two once in awhile but it's usually set at 73 all year. If the car is extremely hot inside and you set it manually to Max and 60, the air will come out at exactly the same temp as Auto and 73. Set it to a comfortable temp in Auto and let the car figure out how to maintain it.

Doesn't the sport have a "My Temp" button? If yes, then just set it to the desired temp for quick one press. You also can you use voice commands to set the temp.
