Why does it look like all 91-94 Explorers have bent front and back bumpers? I know mine is and others look like it too. When I put my body lift on will the bumber brackets fix it?

And on a related subject, my '94 does have a bent front bumper from getting a little too intimate with the rear of a Saab. Is it possible to remove the bumper, straighten it, and put it back easily, or is that type of thing left for a shop?

Yes, it IS possible to bend back a 91-94 bumper if it is not too bent up. It requires a very, very large hammer, two sawhorse type stands, and some really big muscles.
If you don't have most of the above, I would suggest going to a auto wrecker for a new bumper, as that will be cheaper than a dealer.

When I got in an accident with my 94 X limited, I ended up getting a Smittybuilt Dual Tube bumper with the top hoop. It ran for 150 I think. It was much cheaper than getting a new one. Plus I had a hard time finding one for a 94 in the boneyard back then.

My rear bumper had a slight bow, and I fixed by loosening two nuts where its attached and moving it slightly. The holes are oblong, so it allows for some movement.

Alright, cool. I think I'm going to try to bend it back. I can't get an aftermarket bumper, so that means I have to put the work into fixing it instead of just replacing it. It's not too bad, I was only going like 10 mph at the time. It should be easily fixable. Thanks
