They give you a lift without having to use extended drop brackets. This is the strongest way to lift an Explorer with TTB.

so i guess they would not work with the 5.5 superlift.

What if i moved the axle pivits up an inch in to the 4" lift holes would my truck still stay at 5.5" with the 5.5" coils??

It would lower your truck and make a good alignment more difficult to obtain.

I think you could do the bent I-beams and the superlift brackets at 4", but you'd want to use coils for about 7.5 to 8" of lift, that way the geometry would work out right.

The superlift springs wouldn't have enough lift for the brackets and I-beams together, I think that was what rick was trying to explain.

you have to remember to that when you bend the beams your losing your track width. That was one of the considerations that i took into hand. Your going to lose i think .5-1" on both sides. I was talking to camburg about making new beams for my truck. Getting about a 6" lift and extending each beam an extra 3 inch on each side. They were looking at about 1500. I'm going to try another place near by. Colin goes to the baja shop which is right by my house. I have the drop down brackets. It just depends on how much punishment you put on your rig. Almost all the guys on here have drop down brackets. take that into consideration too.
