Best all weather tires for Ford Explorer 2001 Eddie Bauer.

My "new" 2001 Ford Explorer needs new tires and I live in NM mountains and I am trying to decide if all weather or snow tires would be best and what brand . . .

yeaaaaahhhhh except you want a real soft compound tire if you live in the mountains where it snows all the time. BFG's are not the ones for you. I would go for a streetable snow tire. Go to your local tire dealer and ask them.

Our heavy snow days aren't more that 30 days but I do like being free to go where ever, whenever . . . So I'm not sure I have to have snow tires . . .
