Best fluid in an a4ld?

Well I got my new trans. ITs going in soon as it stops raining. (tuesday accordin to the weather man) And I need to go get fluid for it. What is the best? redline? I expect I am going to pay a lot anyway and would like this one to last for a while.

I would use whatever OEM recomends, probably mercon V.

Mercon no V

Mercon is recommended grade not MerconV,

Synthetics are better with the heat, and Amsoil and Mobil 1 are both used extensively by people on the site. When I get my leak fixed Ill be using Amsoil.

Currently I run Castrol Mercon/Dexron fluid since my front seal is bad.

I use ams oil in the motor. I want the best. Maybe I will get some ams tranny oi. (didnt even know it exhisted)
