Best plugs for best mpg.

I have a 92 explorer xl v6. I am wondering what the best plugs will be to save me the most mpg? Also what gap is best? Does it matter how hard I tighten them?

Regular motorcraft or autolite platinum's work fine. Standard gap of .054.
