I am currently looking at replacing my 12W6 that hit well and had really good SQ. I listen to a wide variety of music and SQ is VERY IMPORTANT. I want to to pound when needed too. I have done many searches and want peoples opinions that have heard the W6's and can say what is better and what is not.

I have been looking at the Alpine Type R's, and the Eclipes' but am open to opinions. I have abour 350w RMS to deliver which actuall fed my JL quite well.
Thanks in advance.

Haven't heard the W6, but I can say that the Eclipse 88120DVCs have a good combo of SQ and SPL capability. I listened to them at Tweeter.

Eclipse Titaniums are a great choice. also check out Orion XTR PRO. they hit really hard and heve better SQ then the HCCAs.

Boston Acoustics Competitor series woofers cant be beat for space and sound.

I have a single 12" 2 ohm SVC in a 1.25 cu ft box in the hatch of my BII fed by 450W Alpine 5 channel. It rocks to say the least, a single 12 kicks my old Soundstream SPL's 12's and takes up 1/4 of the space....

I'd recommend an a/d/s/ 312rs.2 (12"). I am currently running a 310rs.2 (10"), and I looked at a lot of subs before deciding on this one. I replaced a JL 10W6, and believe me when I tell you this, the a/d/s/ absolutely blew the JL out of the water in SQ, and it hit much, much cleaner and easily as hard. I am feeding mine 360w RMS, so your 350w will be perfect.

I think *bad memory* that i read a magazine articale just a month or so back about tihs
of an Eclipse, Audiobahn, Crystal, and I think EarthQuake
i think in their SQ testing overall Crystal was the best..

i can't be sure i have been wrong thousands of times....
never heard a Crystal sub

but my Audiobahn 12 gives lots of bass, and pretty nice sound quality at loud volumes

I actually thought it was frying, and it turned out it was my ground. But after looking at all the new subs out there, I deceided that I am going to install it in my fiance's car and install something in my X with a little more punch.

What he said! I've got em, and for almost all my music, they sound sweet as hell... Very crisp, yet pound like none other. Mine are kick ass, and the best sub I've ever bought.

Here's my rough install.. still needs some minor details cleaned up

Nice setup......How many watts do you have going to both of those??

OK...well I think I have narrowed it down to either the Eclipse 88120DVC or the a/d/s/ 312rs.2. I am hoping both of these subs are as good as or better than my 12w6. One thing...I can find the eclipses' all over the net, but have a very hard time finding the a/d/s/'s...any help in that dept.???

I got mine from www.woofersetc.com They're one of the few a/d/s/ authorized dealers on the net, so you get the factory warranty.

Um... i believe 450 at 2ohms.. I think... i've had all this stuff fer a lil while now, so exacts aren't too clear in my mind... I love the subs... Like I said earlier, best I've owned yet

I've got a Crystal CMP10 and it has great SQ. As far as SPL, it isn't loud out side the truck , but it hits hard inside the truck.

I have used several different sets of subs (Kicker, MTX, JL Audio, Earthquake, Audiobahn, Eclipse, Alumapro....) I had 2-JL Audio 10W6s in my Ranger and they rocked.....but now in my explorer I am running 1 Earthquake Magma 15 in a ported box and it is VERY clear and loud.
