better motor mounts?

Well i went out to the river this weekend and wheeled the hell outta my explorer. All of a sudden i had no brakes, so i popped the hood and low and behold my vacuum line going to the brake booster was off, this happened once before and it turned out to be a broken engine mount, as was the case again, this mount is a lifetime kragens mount and only about a year old. Is there any aftermarket motor mounts that are better? Its not like my ex is a powerhouse or anything so i cant figure this out. Any advice?

Consider a new trans mount, prefferably not a stock replacement.

A worn trans mount will put more strain on your engine mounts as well.

Solid engine mounts and a good or solid trans mount will do wonders for how your truck feels on the road I love mine!

thank you, so you have solid mounts? I had solid mounts on my 73 chevy and damn the whole truck would vibrate so much more it was crazy, but that may be what i need to do with the ex.. Where do i find the phone# for autofab? what sucked the most is i was in a gulley with only one way out, up a hill. Everytime i would try it would pull off my vacuum lines and kill the motor. Finally i got to thinkin and went up the hill in reverse. thanks for your time james

yes I used solid mounts for my V8 conversion and I used an Autofab urethane trans mount (had bushing but it doesnt allow much movement)

I was worried about vibrations too but the 5.0L purrs like a kitten and the vibrations are bearable.
