Alright, my internet connection has been less than reliable for the past few days so I haven't been able to get online

I'd still like to get something going but as of yesterday I got the ol' CEL Went to autozone and checked it out...banks 1 and 2 too lean. Looks like I got some head gaskets to change out, at least I think that's what it is.

Nah mine does it all the time in the winter, I just reset it. I always thought mine was just the O2 sensors. I can even tell when it will kick on in the wintertime. same spot everytime on the way to work.

Mine has an off and on rough idle so something is definately wrong. I'm gonna check for vacuum leaks for starters.

July is looking more open for me now for Big Bear. In the meantime anyone up for a day trip to Cleghorn or 2N17x on June 23 or June 30th?

I'd be up for that Joe, 2N17X is the trail up the road from Cleghorn and closer to Silverwood lake right? I always get those trail #'s confused.

Truck seems to running a little better after replacing the EGR gasket...wasn't much left of the old one I'm gonna drive it around this weekend and make sure eveything is cool.

IIRC, Cleghorn has 2 tracks nearly the whole way with easy bypasses for all the hard stuff.

As I posted before, I should be available almost any weekend (some weekdays too) except the 22nd through 24th. That leaves 15th-17th and everything after the 29th. As for Cleghorn, I can do that on an hour or two notice almost any day

Looks like we've settled on a date for the Cleghorn run...As for Big Bear, I'm pretty much open for dates except 4th of July weekend...probably be a zoo up there anyways that weekend.

i'm hoping to get my 4wd working in the project X and run both runs if it's ready...i got to get the front re-geared first...i might even take my ranger but that is why i bought my X, lol...so just know, i'm in if you see the project X thread saying i have 4wd again...

Man I wish I could just get my Ex done so I can join everyone on these runs. My Ex will be more than capable once it is back under its own power. I hope I can get it ready for one of these runs.

when do you plan on doing it??? do you have the tranny jack and the little tranny tool??? more importantly, where are you going to do it...maybe some of the sd and oceanside boys and maybe even myself can come down and make a party out of it...don't worry, i've had no offers of any help getting my 4.56 gears put in the front either and that and my alignment parts is all i need to get the X wheelin...

I was gonna try and do it at my house. What tranny tool do I need so I can go buy it tomorrow to get the old one out? I can do pretty much anything with suspension I am just a newby on gears though. I think I am gonna have to do my own gears once I get them. That will be fun lol. The thing is once I start on the truck I work until it is done. I am hard core when it comes to that. I did a whole conversion on my old civic in 13 hours and only took a 15 minute break to eat lunch lol. Well let me know if you need help with your truck I am willing to help you out with your rig.I have EXPLORE619 coming over tomrrow and I am gonna put my 4dr coils on his sport and put on my other leaf on his truck. gotta do the radius arm bushings too. I am glad I don't have those arms anymore. hehe Then we are gonna take out the tranz once we are done with that. I just hope I have the right tools for it.

if it's a a4ld there is a huge info sticky on it and i would read that first...as for tools it's been a long time since i did a tranny but don't you need the little plastic alignment tool??? i can't remember...read up and good luck...
