Hi I'm new to this explorer site. I have a 94 5spd with 260k+ miles. I got some big problems.:( Right now I have no power at all, no dome lights no power locks no nothing, turn the key and nothing. However if i jump the solenoid i get all power back. Does anyone have any idea as to what the hell is happening. I just replaced the starter and the solenoid this weekend because my starter was bad. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the condition of the battery cable carefully. It is common for them to be corroded under the insulation where you can't see it.

Mine was doing this on and off, plus several other electrical anomalies...replaced both cables, no more problems. BTW, I shopped around a lot for cables, finally just got them from Ford...expensive ($150) but beautiful and high quality.:us:

thanks for the help, how hard is it to install new cables and such

Also, make sure they are connected solid on the battery. One of my connections had been loose a while back and it shut down the whole vehicle.
