I just put on 31's on my 95 XLT, do I need to adjust the spedometer??

I ask this as I was driving to Durango last weekend and got pulled over. The Officer said he clocked me at 68 in a 55. The spedo only said 60....No wonder I made such good time...

If anyone has any info I appreciate it...:D

I put 31's on my 99 Sport and yes your speedo will be off, though I really don't notice it much until I am doing over 50. From what I can tell when I have a buddy driving next to me I am doing about 6 mph faster at 70mph on my speedo. I haven't fixd it yet, just learned to live with it.

Check out the "Calibrating the Speedometer" info. in the "Tech Tips & Product Reviews" of this site. You'll need a new Tooth Gear from Ford.

I can't seem to find the Tech Tips area. Can ya help lead the blind??

On the main 4x4central.com page go to the "Explorer Tips" section on the left side, one of the blue menus. In there you'll see a "Tech Tips and Product Reviews" pull down button, in the middle of the page. In there go down to "Speedo Calibration", not quite halfway down.

THANKS!!!

THANKS FOR THE HELP
