Tomorow I am getting my Firestones off and putting some 265/70/17's on with cobra-r's...
I have a 2000... How will I go about getting the speedometer to read correctly? The new diameter will be 31.8 which is about 2" taller. I am sure that my speedometer will be off by quite a bit.

I have read a little about this. Seems that some have it fixed by computer at the dealership for like $100 and others just have to buy a part thats like $8. Which one will I have to do on my 2000?

Thanks,
Grant-P

You can have the dealer recalibrate your speedometer. I don't think it will cost $100, but I really don't know.

Post some pics of your new wheels and tires, please.

Good luck......

Talk to GJarret. He had his '99 recalibrated by the dealer. Your 2000 will need to be taken to the dealer. The $8 speedometer gear went away after the '97 model year. It will cost you probably whatever diagnostic fee your dealer usually charges (usually about $75).
