Billet Grill on a 97 XLT?

Hey all, I'm looking to get a billet grille but I have an issue... to get the hood open you have to reach through the grille to get to the release. Has anyone dealt with this or found a fix for the issue?

Add a 98-01 hood latch. Try searching. There's a how to about it.

if you have a spare 4 wheeler choke cable you can hook it up to the top part of the latch and route the cable to a more accessible place.
